The festival will have opening ceremonies starting at 9:30 at Berryland Motors where Mrs. Irma Thomas, the Soul Queen of New Orleans who was born in Ponchatoula, will receive The Lifetime Achievement Award from The Northshore Regional Endowment For The Arts. She will also be the first inductee into The Northshore Museum of Music & Art. After this, a new 72'x8' mural entitled "Ponchatoula Celebrates The Arts" will be unveiled. Music will begin after this promptly at 10:00. The lifesized sculpture entitled "The Horticulture Lesson" will be unveiled at 11:00AM. First Guaranty Bank Stage
