This year's CD features original music from 18 different groups
from this region. The variety of styles presented on the CD is representative of the many
different styles of music that musicians in this region play. They are influenced by the
surrounding regions of Louisiana/Mississippi which are very noted for their particular
style of music. This region of Louisiana is geographically located in the center of these
other regions and influences local musicians. Thus, we believe that this is the true
melting pot of American Music, The Louisiana Northshore.
Bands included on this CD are: Billy Bensing, The Oswald's, Invisible Cowboy, Burke Ingraffia, Crispin Schroeder, Coffee, Generation of Praise, Younger Blues, The Shack Daddies, Christian Serpas & Ghost Town, Chelsea Clouatre, Turning Ground, Bent Lance Mitchell, The Porch Rockers, The Emanating Remnants, Big Wheel, Manny Bazoo, Chris Benson.
