About JamFest

Mission & Objective

Founded in 2008. JamFest Indie Film Festival was first a regional film celebration that sought to inspire local filmmakers with limited funds. The catchphrase was, “No money, just vision.” Now, in the process of expansion, JamFest seeks to widen its audience and its retinue of filmmakers; recognizing film excellence not only locally, but nationally and internationally. JamFest seeks filmmakers’ visions, young and not so young, big budgets to not so big.

All proceeds from the event first go towards filmmaker awards. The remaining funds are directed into the non-profit organization Northshore Regional Endowment for the Arts (NREA); an organization dedicated in supporting the Arts for local children.

About the Festival

The Northshore Regional Endowment for the Arts (NREA) was founded in 2001 by local physician Dr. Ted Hudspeth who recognized a need for opportunities in art education for our local youth. NREA inaugurated the JamFest Indie Film Festival in 2008 to continue its mission to support arts in education.
